Pork sausage is delicious. It adds a ton of flavor to dishes that call for beef, turkey, or chicken. The sausage flavor adds a lot of dimension; however, sausage can also contain a higher fat content than these other choices of meat.
I like to buy my beef on the leaner side, as well as my turkey and chicken. In order to give these leaner meats more flavor and complexity, I like to add this sausage seasoning, recipe from Laura. The recipe makes a decent sized batch; so I make it ahead, store it in a small mason jar, shake, and add accordingly.
